My interest in the relationship between Low Carbon Construction and Master-planning has recently had an adrenaline boost. Having agreed to present at EcoBuild, it was a case of resolving the blind spots, re-reading my original research and calling order.
The resulting presentation looks at the micro and macro issues of this subject – releasing PassivHaus and PHPP from being construction only protocols and setting the case (and method) for their use as a master-planning design tools.
Having steadied the relationship between PassivHaus and Master-planning, we then review their place in the current planning environment – touching briefing on NPPF and Peer-to-Peer protocols.
